April 2023The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia held our first Charity Auction at the Blue Room , The Lawn, Lincoln on Thursday 20th April.
Experts from Unique Auctions were available to value items. The auction commenced at 3 pm . Again Unique Auctions provided one of their auctioneers free of charge.
There was no charge for the valuation, although donations will be welcome. Auctioneers commission of 10% (normally 20%) was be paid to the Rotary Club, sellers will keep the balance, no buyers premium.
Unique Auctions and Stokes Coffee are providing their services free of charge so that we can raise the maximum amount for Rotary Charities.

March 2023Station adopters from The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia teamed up on 20th March with East Midlands Railway and Network Rail staff to transform the flower beds at Lincoln station concourse. Planters have been planted with Lavender bushes, which when in bloom will be in EMR colours.
Feb 2023We were recently joined by students from the University of Lincoln to see what Rotary is all about! Thank you to Thomas for sending the following for us to share.
“The evening was an enlightening process, as I and other university students were welcomed with open arms which allowed us to have an in-depth understanding regarding the clubs upstanding values as well as its upstanding members. I believe the evening allowed us to really see what the rotary club is, as members discussed all the amazing activities, they do in order to support both local and global communities. Overall, the Rotary Club is an amazing organisation that truly works for the betterment of society.”

December: Thankyou to everyone who took part and who supported the 2022 Lincoln Santa Fun Run. It was a great day enjoyed by 1,200 (slightly cold !) runners. Pre-registration for the 2023 run is now open.

Oct 2022Lincoln's first Pollinator Awareness Conference presented by The Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia in collaboration with Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. 150 people attended this important event. Watch the keynote presentation here.

April: A huge thankyou to Lincolnshire Co-Op and their customers as one of the Co-oP Community Champions in December. Over £1000 has been donated which we will be sharing with deserving local charities in the coming months.
April 2022What a privilege to be able to hold the Lincoln Run For Ukraine in Uphill Lincoln on 3rd April. An important community solidarity event for the city of Lincoln. Although the numbers running were not as high as we hoped we were still able to raise significant funds to help our charities. After our costs (which we kept to a minimum thanks to the generosity of so many local organisations) we are able to donate £3,800 shared between the three charities. Thankyou and well done !
January 2022: The Romans to Railways project at Lincoln Station is completed. The official launch date is 25th February.
January 2022: The Great Australian Breakfast returned for 2022 on Sunday 23rd January at the Lincoln Hotel. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a success.

December 2021: We are delighted to announce the Boultham Park Sensory Garden Competition. We are running this in conjunction with Linkage and Lincoln City Council. Find out more and enter the competition here
November 2021: We are delighted to announce the 16th Lincoln Santa Fun Run will be held on 12 December. Register your place here
September 2021: We ran our first Lincoln Family Treasure Trail this summer. Thankyou to all the businesses who supported this and thankyou to everyone who took part. The uptake was not as much as we had hoped for but all the feedback has been very positive. We will now evaluate and decide on whether we repeat it. The income raised for charity will be added to our santa fun run income in December for disbursement to charities in 2022.
July 2021: Regrettably we have had to take the very difficult decision to postpone this year's Lincoln Sausage Festival planned for October until 2022. This decision has been made in light of the continuing challenges from the Covid Pandemic and the risks associated with holding the event. (We will be back !)
July 2021: Look out for our Community Imp which we sponsored in partnership with the other 3 Rotary Clubs in Lincoln to sponsor a community Imp as part of the Lincoln Imp Trail in 2021.

February 2021: During those challenging winter months of 2020/21 ten members and friends of Lincoln Colonia completed a sponsored cycle ride for 1587 miles around the county as a virtual ride from Lands End to John O Groats and back (it was quicker coming back as it was downhill)
They raised £1500 for Cancer Research UK , the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance , The Warm Rail and other Rotary Charities
January 2021: Well done to everyone who participated in the 2020 virtual Lincoln Santa Fun Run. Your donations and sponsorship meant we were able to donate £ 250 to each of the 8 selected charities.
November 2020: We were delighted to deliver multiple bags of warm clothes donated by our members along with 17 pairs of new shoes/boots, 36 new T-shirt vests, 77 pairs of new socks and 81 pairs of new boxer shorts to the WarmRailProject run and organised by development plus
November 2020: A welcome delivery of second hand TVs donated by our club members for residents of the Lincoln YMCA Nomad centre
October 2020: We joined members of Clean Lincoln Everywhere And Now at Jasmine Park, Birchwood and collected 26 bags of rubbish, a roll of carpet, an armchair, two other chairs, some ride-on toys and a metal pram frame.
October 2020: We have had to take the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Lincoln Sausage Festival. But we have launched a special virtual Sausage Festival for October half-term with the support of Visit Lincoln.
